Ms. Faye Jenkins’ has been in the nursing profession since 1977 specializing in Critical Care until 1995 when she chose the path of cosmetic laser and skin care. Ms. Jenkins has been a member of ASLMS since 1995 and an active participant within the Allied Nursing Division of ASLMS, currently holding “Fellow” status. She has worked diligently with the MA board of registration in nursing to bring laser/light treatments into the scope of nursing practice. She has served on several task force committees regarding scope of practice for nurses as well as development of leveling of laser/light procedures and criteria for training regarding those procedures. She currently works as an independent contractor as sole owner of Laser Nurse Consultants for several laser/light companies and provides training in various settings for their products. Ms. Jenkins has been a guest speaker for several organizations including ASLMS, St. Paul Ins. Co., Risk Management and New England Electrology & Laser Society. Professional memberships past and present include ASLMS, MA Nurses Association and . Ms. Jenkins has actively participated in the realm of politics presenting several times in support of nurses being safe practitioners in the use of lasers and light, to the committee for public health and safety. She currently holds a position as Clinical Director at The Rockoff Center for Dermatology, Laser & Plastic Surgery in Brookline and Andover, Massachusetts.
