As the industry grows and more
nurses and other professionals enter the field of medical
esthetics we are confronted with unprecedented challenges …
• Legislative dysfunction
• Professional liability issues
• Insurance Coverage
• Accelerating technological changes
• Undefined standards of specialty esthetic
nursing practice
... just to name a few.
Addressing these challenges has
been the impetus for forming a national organization for
practicing esthetic nurses and other esthetic professionals.
Realizing issues medical esthetic nurses face including lack
of representation and diversity of nursing laws state to
state, a group of nurses across the country joined together
to form an alliance whose mission was to address issues facing
today’s medical esthetic
nurse. From this meeting of committed nursing colleagues
motivated by common goals, the Association of Medical Esthetic
Nurses, Inc. was formed.
